View Extended JMX Metrics Definitions Loaded into PepAgent

Whether for troubleshooting or to confirm that PepAgent successfully loaded your extended JMX metrics definitions, you can view the PepAgent log file or the MonitoredProgramConfig web page that every PepAgent makes available through its RPC server port.

Procedure

• To read the PepAgent log file, run the cat command on any host where PepAgent is running.

  cat /var/log/pepperdata/pepagent/pepagent.log

• To display the MonitoredProgramConfig page, open a web browser and navigate to the page that a given PepAgent makes available through its RPC server port. The port number is specified by the pepperdata.agent.rpc.server.port property (default=50505).

  PepAgent-host-name.pepperdata.com:your-rpc-port/MonitoredProgramConfig.
