Pepperdata Maintenance Policy

Pepperdata continually releases new versions of software to provide new features, and, when needed, bug fixes and security hardening. We provide support for older versions according to the End of Maintenance (EOM) policy, for active customers.

Definition of Maintenance

Active Customers can ask the Pepperdata Technical Support team for help by opening a service request via the Pepperdata Support website. Our Technical Support team will also assist active customers with upgrading from an unsupported version to a maintained release.

Maintenance also includes software updates for bug fixes and security vulnerability resolutions. Bug fixes will be made to Minor Releases while they are in active maintenance. Security Vulnerability resolutions will be made available for all maintained Minor Releases.

Security vulnerabilities and severe bugs will be repaired in a Maintenance Release. All other bugs will be repaired in future Major or Minor releases.

Technical support for out of maintenance releases may be denied.

End of Maintenance (EOM) Policy

Major releases are maintained for a minimum of two (2) years after GA or six (6) months after GA of the next major release (whichever is longer).

Minor releases are maintained for a minimum of nine (9) months after GA.

For example, suppose that major release version 2.0.0 is released for GA on January 1, 2014, major release version 3.0.0 is released for GA on June 15, 2016, and there are no minor releases of version 2.x. In this scenario, EOM for version 2.0.0 would be December 15, 2016—six months after version 3.0.0 is released.

If there were an interim minor release, say version 2.1.0, on March 15, 2014, its EOM would be no earlier than December 15, 2014.
